Highland Park Baptist Church was started in 1971 by Bro. A.J. Thomasson under the authority of Central Baptist Church in Tyler, TX.  Twin City Baptist Church in Mishawaka, IN played a major role in the early years.  In 1973 Bro. Floyd Hendricks was called to be the new pastor and stayed faithful for 36 years leading in the good times and in the lean times.  In January 2010 Rev. Hendricks felt it was time to retire and pass the shepherds staff on to another man.  On January 3rd, 2010 the church called Bro. Craig Brown to be their pastor.
